About Me

I am Ziqiang Cui (崔自强), an Associate Professor at the School of Electrical and Information Engineering, Tianjin University, where I serve as an advisor for MSc and PhD students. My research bridges state-of-the-art industrial process tomography with real-world industrial measurement challenges. I am also an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement (TIM).

Before joining Tianjin University, I was a Research Associate and Visiting Scholar at The University of Manchester, UK (2014–2016), and completed my postdoctoral training at Nankai University (2009–2011).

My current research interests include:

  • Industrial Process Tomography — ECT, ERT, EMT and multi-modal imaging
  • Multiphase Flow Measurement — gas/liquid/solid three-phase flow characterization
  • Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) — biomedical and portable systems
  • Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) — electromagnetic defect imaging
